The Maintenance Fabricator will provide repair and maintenance support for site operational breakdown, maintenance, and improvement requirements to enhance productivity, efficiency and profitability of the plants.
The Role
Our Koroit site manufactures a range of dairy products including skimmed and full cream milk powders, buttermilk powders, milk protein concentrate, lactoferrin powder, retail milk powders, anhydrous milk fat, liquid cream and butter. The site produces a staggering 35 tonnes of lactoferrin extract annually!
The Maintenance Fabricator will provide repair and maintenance support for site operational breakdown, maintenance, and improvement requirements to enhance productivity, efficiency and profitability of the plants. High Risk licence will be favourable (EWP and Forklift).
The candidate is required to work Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:15 PM, on a permanent full-time basis.
Responsibilities
Problem Identification & Resolution Detect and address plant issues to improve equipment reliability, productivity, and working conditions through scheduled maintenance and team meetings.
Efficient Changeovers Perform timely equipment and plant changeovers to reduce production downtime and enable preventative maintenance
Inventory Management Understand inventory procedures and stock locations to support maintenance tasks.
Team Engagement: Actively participate in workgroup and workshop meetings to support continuous improvement.
Daily Equipment Checks: Assist with routine service checks on boilers, chillers, and cooling towers.
About you
Cert III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/Welding), or equivalent
Proven experience in dairy & food manufacturing setting (or similar setting)
Experience using CMMS (MEX) is desirable or good computer skill and learning agility
Good understanding of hydraulic & pneumatic system.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and P&ID’s
