
This is a full time General Maintenance Mechanic position working at Houghton Hospital.
This mechanic would perform our Life Safety compliance. Their responsibility would be to inspect rated doors and barriers, perform above ceiling inspections and other compliance related tasks. This mechanic would also assist another General Maintenance Mechanic on the shift, as needed. This mechanic will be the first responder for all Plant Operations calls during second shift when working alone. Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus. Note – this job will include a lot of walking and climbing ladders for inspection purposes.
Work hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm. On occasion, hours may flex as projects and emergencies dictate and take part in rotating on-call roster.

The Maintenance Engineer II ensures the functionality, safety, and compliance of healthcare facility systems and equipment by performing advanced maintenance tasks, repairs, and installations. This role requires expertise in troubleshooting and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems, as well as hospital-specific equipment. The Maintenance Engineer II responds to urgent issues, and may assist in supervising entry-level engineers to support the operational efficiency of the facility.
