As a part of our Strategy towards strengthening our team and further developing the Business, we are looking for a Maintenance Engineer-Electrical & Automation. In this position you will become part of Wärtsilä Jordan’s Operational Organization and shall be based in Amman, Jordan. You shall drive Wärtsilä

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Perform repairs, troubleshooting, and routine electrical maintenance on Wärtsilä gas and HFO based power plant equipment's and control systems, including Engine Control Systems, PLC, UNIC,
  • Connectivity devices (HMI, Firewalls, and Servers), sWOIS, MV/LV breakers, Transformers and other general plant Automation.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate work planning, work reports for records and provide recommendations for future maintenance or improvements.
  • Conduct technical communications with Wärtsilä stakeholders and customers to ensure clear understanding of work outcomes.
  • Ensure that all work is executed in compliance with Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QEHS) guidelines and customer-site procedures.
  • Support plant operation activities as required.
  • Proactively advise and promote system improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide technical support for sites.

Main requirements in this role are:

Qualification & Experience Graduate degree in Electrical engineering along with proficiency in Automation

Engineering & minimum 10 years of experience in Wartsila gas engine with various PLCs (Siemens, Schneider, etc.), UNIC, sWOIS.

Skillset requirements:

  • A safety-first mindset.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and a systematic way of working.
  • A genuine passion for engines, automation, and control systems.
  • Good analytical and organizational skills.
  • Good abilities to cooperate and communicate with others.
  • Good command of English, both oral and written.
