Job Description

The Maintenance Engineer participates in managing and maintaining all broadcast and technology related equipment within the facility.

  • Help implement new technologies and technical infrastructure for the facility.
  • Participate in engineering and other technical projects
  • Evaluate, select, install, service, and maintain facility broadcast equipment and information technology systems
  • Work closely with management and co-workers to ensure company objectives are being met
  • Basic understanding of FCC rules and regulations.
  • Other duties as needed
  • Salary - $20.00 to $25.00 hourly

Requirements & Skills

  • 2 years previous broadcast engineering experience.
  • Broadcast equipment repair and maintenance skills required including experience with the repair and maintenance of video cameras, video routers, ingest and playout servers, newscast automation equipment.
  • Possess superior troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed may include overnight and weekends
  • ‘Be initiative-taking, desire to learn new skills consistent with good engineering/IT practices
