YOUR ROLE
As a Maintenance Technician, you ensure that the machinery in our warehouse runs safely, reliably and with minimal downtime. You work with, among others, packaging and sorting machines, conveyors and various transport and installation technologies. Our machines and installations vary greatly in age and complexity, so challenge is guaranteed! You install, configure, repair and maintain a wide range of mechanical, electrical and control systems. In addition to your daily tasks, you work together with colleagues from other internal departments on improvement projects.

The Maintenance Department consists of a diverse and enthusiastic team of technicians with different specialisations. There is plenty of room to share knowledge, shadow experienced colleagues and develop yourself in the direction that interests you. You work in a two-shift system and, together with your colleagues, you are responsible for both the execution and the administrative handling of all maintenance activities in Waalwijk. You report to the Team Lead Maintenance from your base in Waalwijk.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Carry out preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical and control systems, in order to prevent malfunctions as much as possible;
  • Perform corrective maintenance: analysing and resolving breakdowns, including identifying the root cause and implementing structural improvements where possible;
  • Periodically perform inspections and tests so that the installations continue to operate safely and in compliance with standards;
  • Provide support for projects such as modifications or commissioning of new machines and installations;
  • Actively contribute ideas for technical improvements to the machinery and propose improvements based on your practical experience;
  • Report on completed work, malfunctions and improvement proposals in our CMMS Ultimo, so that we can plan and optimise maintenance;
  • Supervise external technical specialists and contribute to a well-organised technical warehouse (parts management, ordering, maintaining stock levels).

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Preferably a completed MBO level 4 education, preferably in Mechatronics/Metalectrics, Electrical Engineering or a comparable field;
  • Relevant work experience in a similar position;
  • You are a team player, a committed doer, who can work independently but also really enjoys working in a team;
  • You have a good command of English and preferably also Dutch;
  • You are flexible in your availability and are willing to work full-time in 2 shifts between 07:00 and 01:00.

WHAT DO WE OFFER YOU?
At CEVA Logistics there are plenty of opportunities to get the best out of yourself and your career. This role can be the first step in a broad career path within our organisation. Due to the various logistics solutions we offer, there is always a challenging role for you within the company.In addition to a dynamic environment in which we achieve our goals together at a fast pace and in a result-oriented way, we offer room for fun, connection and flexibility.

Also good to know:

  • You will receive a monthly salary between €2.655,06 and €4.187,42 and 8% holiday allowance (scale depends on your work experience and education level);
  • You start with a one-year contract and then have the prospect of a permanent position;
  • Everyone receives 25 days of holiday, with the possibility to earn four extra days if you do not report sick;
  • We offer an attractive pension scheme, travel allowance and discounts on various insurance policies;
  • Opportunities to further develop yourself through courses and training.

We attach great value to training our colleagues. Over the past year, the team has followed training courses in machine safety, electrical switching, fire alarm systems, PLC, industrial automation and NEN3140, among others. In addition, there are, for example, options for welding training or bearing training. We think it is important that you do what you enjoy.
