Electronic Specialty Gases (ESG) is a focused product line within the larger Air Liquide Electronics (ALE) organization that specializes in providing a diverse portfolio of highly purified specialty gases to our customers. The ESG product line is poised for strong growth over the coming years as leading semiconductor companies are making multi-billion dollar investments to expand manufacturing capacity in the United States and globally.
This Maintenance Electrician will be part of a 5 person team providing technical electrician support for Electronics Specialty Gas operations equipment. You will be primarily responsible for instrument calibrations and interlock testing. You will work along with plant electricians for the upkeep and maintenance of plant equipment and facilities.
Understand and comply with all safety regulations and guidelines while on company or customer property. Attend safety meetings and participate in company safety programs. Report any accident, incident, or near miss.
Contribute to the workflow with the utmost regard for the safety and health of all involved. Shares responsibility for the safety of all persons and the general public surrounding the facility.
Understand and follow all applicable HS&E Standards and guidelines including, but not limited to: PPE, Lock Out/Tag Out Program, Forklift Operations, PSM/RMP, etc.
Understand and follow the established Quality System; we look for you to report any deficiencies and support the integrity of plant operations if the quality process is compromised.
Understand and follow all Air Liquide Policies and training guidelines including Intelex, Technical, Corporate, etc.
Perform routine equipment inspections and calibrations as per plant standards; including a 5-point calibration of pressure transducers.
Participate in the health, upkeep, replacement, and testing of electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances using tools and testing instruments. Perform any required basic mechanical work.
Partner with the team in the maintenance and repair of production systems including trans-fill manifolds, purification systems, valves, regulators, compressors, cryogenic pumps, vacuum pumps, scrubbers, forklifts, manlifts, and other plant equipment.
Maintain and repair building systems including HVAC, low voltage electrical systems, water system (sprinklers), walls, doors, rails, and other facility equipment.
Partner in the completion of work orders. Perform repairs and participate in corrective maintenance activities. Initiate proper escalation of equipment issues.
Participate in the investigation and repair of equipment breakdowns including instrumentation, electrical, mechanical, and process control failures. Participate in equipment failure analysis and demonstrate excellent troubleshooting practices.
Participate in plant-related projects including fabrication of manifolds, installations, equipment integration, testing, commissioning, etc.
Perform routine equipment inspections and calibrations as per plant standards. Performs preventive maintenance.
Maintain equipment inspection, calibration records, and work orders in both CMMS (MAXIMO) and written form.
Develop an understanding of and contribute to updating equipment manuals, SOPs, electrical diagrams, and facility P&ID schematics.
Work closely with contractors on various repairs, maintenance activities, and projects in the plant. Foster contractor alignment regarding work quality and conformance to safety procedures.
Order necessary parts from designated vendors to complete job tasks. Maintain parts inventory including stock levels of critical spare parts.
Keep all tools and power equipment in safe working condition and perform inspections at specified frequency. Develop the ability to utilize various and specialty tools.
Maintain general work area as per 5S methodology.
Ideally, you bring basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process.
Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines.
Thrives with regular team support and guidance.
General Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Good mechanical and electrical skill sets.
Self motivated to learn.
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
Good communication skills; proficient in English.
Be able to accurately perform basic arithmetic calculations.
Have good organizational skills.
Have basic computer skills and knowledge of business or maintenance software.
Knowledgeable in safe work practices and safety procedures preferred.
Able to safely operate a forklift, scissor lift, and similar equipment.
Experience:
0-2 years Maintenance Experience
Preferred:
Technical School Diploma preferred
