The Opportunity
We are now recruiting for a Maintenance Electrician. In this role you will support the efficient Electrical and Mechanical maintenance operations of an oil terminal in a port environment.

You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic equipment faults
  • Ensure all engineering work is carried out in accordance with Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Maintain accurate and organised records of your work, both written and electronic.
  • Updating computer maintenance management systems (CMMS) such as Maximo and Agility.
  • Liaise with the relevant technical and local managerial staff e.g. Terminal Supervisor, Terminal Manager and Group Maintenance Manager in the resolution of defects, changes in the operation of specific plant items or to provide information in response to a maintenance alert
  • Undertake maintenance of LV distribution small power and lighting, emergency lighting and fire alarm testing

Minimum Requirements

  • Compex Electrical qualification which enables the candidate to work on Atex category equipment.
  • Competency in the selection, installation, inspection and maintenance of “Ex” apparatus in potentially explosive atmospheres.
  • Previous experience in an industrial environment
