Job Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Electrician based in our Grand Forks location to join the Maintenance team. This position offers 12-hour day/night rotating shifts.

This position works a rotating schedule of 3 days on and 3 days off.

You must be able and willing to work both day and night shifts.

  • 12-hour shifts - Days and Nights - 7:00 – 7:00

Your future team:

You will become part of the Factory Maintenance team reporting to the Maintenance Electrical Manager. The team consists of 25 team members.

The hourly pay rate for this position is $47.11. Hourly rate adjustments are governed by the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

What you will be doing:

  • Ensure all equipment are operating within design and/or plant standards.

  • Identify and communicate equipment maintenance and machine reliability issues.

  • Conduct and document repair and preventative/predictive maintenance tasks.

  • Adjust work plans to accommodate changes in production needs.

  • Work shift schedules as required; adapt break times to meet job and production requirements.

  • Ensure all work performed is conducted within regional and company safety and environmental policies and procedures.

  • Reports to Department Supervisor, their designate, or the Production Supervisor in the absence of either. Takes work direction from the Department Lead Hand and the Department Supervisor. Peers with other mechanical and electrical maintenance personnel.

What you bring:

  • Red Seal Electrician.

  • High School Graduate with 8 years Industrial Maintenance Electrician experience

  • Understanding and applying Safe work procedures and apply safety control measures.

  • Practical experience in industrial manufacturing and instrumentation, measurement, automation, and control; PLC, HMI, Networking.

  • The ability to effectively organize work in a production scheduled environment in cooperation with other departments and personnel; lead or follow as requested by departmental or factory leadership.

  • Advanced Trouble Shooting skills focused on analytical root cause analysis and machine problem resolution.

  • Motivated continuous learner committed to achieving goals and building value for factory processes and/or for self, team, factory, and organizational development.
