Installation, repair, replacement, and maintenance of electrical systems. Install electrical wiring, fixtures and equipment as part of the building infrastructure as well as its associated machinery and lighting systems.
Maintenance. Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Troubleshooting. Diagnose and repair electrical issues. Ensureappropriate response to operational emergencies and other unforeseen circumstances.
Compliance. Ensure that all electrical work complies with local (NYC) and national safety codes and regulations.
Inspections. Conduct inspections of electrical equipment and its components. Maintain records and prepare reports
Responding to emergency situations and environmental compliance emergencies
Skills and Qualifications
Education A high school diploma equivalent with completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical technology.
Licensing. Master Electrician License NYC DOB
Technical Skills Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical diagrams, as well as knowledge of electrical systems and safety protocols.
Problem-Solving Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to effectively address electrical issues.
Physical Fitness Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
Experience and expertise Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in live Stage Theatre. Opera experience is desirable
