We have an exciting opportunity within the Manufacturing Services function of the Civil Aerospace Assembly & Test organisation for an individual to join the team as a Maintenance Electrician reporting to the Manufacturing Services Leaders.

Initiallyworking a three-shift core for 1 year, there will then be the option of a 24/6½ overlay pattern (after demonstrating the required competence).

What you will be doing

In this role you will be responsible for the electrical maintenance, and repair of Test, Experimental and Production facilities equipment, plant, control systems and machine tools, in addition you will:

  • Be required to interface effectively with Customers, Suppliers and Manufacturing Services team members to optimise the overall performance of Assembly and Test organisation.

  • Undertake Electrical Installation where required

To be successful in this role you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Completed an advanced modern apprenticeship* and an NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in an electrical discipline.

  • You will be keen to work safely in a modern team based environment and possess a "can do" mentality and good problem solving skills.

  • You must be able to demonstrate experience in using a variety of testing & inspection equipment and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.

  • You will have a professional and flexible attitude with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.

  • You will be self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team.

  • It is essential that you have an up-to-date working knowledge of health, safety and environmental procedures, including COSHH.
