Job Description

The Maintenance Electrician plays a critical role in supporting continuous manufacturing operations within a fast-paced industrial environment. This position offers hands-on exposure to a wide range of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems while ensuring the reliability and efficiency of production equipment. The ideal candidate will bring strong troubleshooting skills, experience with PLCs, VFDs, and 480V three-phase systems, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively while maintaining a strong focus on safety.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair a broad range of electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrically and mechanically driven operating systems, ensuring minimal downtime.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, including AC/DC controls and systems.

  • Work with PLC-controlled equipment and assist with diagnostics and repairs.

  • Operate production equipment as needed while performing repairs to maintain continuous operations.

  • Support operating functions and collaborate with other maintenance technicians when required.

  • Work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a maintenance team, depending on operational needs.

Desired Skills & Knowledge

  • Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus.

  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

  • Strong pneumatic troubleshooting experience.

  • Experience working in a machine shop environment preferred.

  • PLC programming skills and formal training are a plus.

  • Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).

  • Ability to troubleshoot 480V three-phase motor control systems.

  • Basic welding skills are a plus.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Highly disciplined, safety-oriented, and detail-focused.

  • Strong problem-solving ability, logical thinking, and a team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic.

Shift Requirement

  • Ability to work 2nd shift: 5:00 PM – 1:30 AM

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
