Maintenance ElectricianThe Electrician I performs basic technical tasks including maintaining tools and equipment, managing lighting, inspecting and repairing electrical devices, and maintaining electrical circuits. The electrician is required to participate in the department's emergency maintenance rotation and may be called upon to assist with emergency maintenance needs outside of normal working hours, as operational needs arise, in accordance with departmental procedures.
Maintain Tools and Equipment
Regularly inspect all ministry-issued tools and equipment. Complete equipment repairs as needed, or notify the appropriate party for replacements.
Manage Lighting
Inspect and diagnose luminaire issues in both interior and exterior systems. Replace or repair any failed components.
Repair Electrical Devices
Handle any ministry requests regarding faulty receptacles, switches, plugs, connectors, etc. Replace or repair any failed components.
Maintain Electrical Circuits
Install all residential wiring and all types of flexible conduits, including simple conduit bending work. Inspect and maintain wiring and conduits as needed.

Ability to lift 50+ pounds, Electrical Testing, Electric Circuits, Elevated Work Platforms, Lift, bend, stretch, push, or pull as needed, Platform Lifts, Power Tools, State driver's license, Trade Products
