The Role

Mulgowie Farming Company is seeking an experienced, qualified Electrician to work within the maintainance department at our Mulgowie Packhouse facility, located in Bowen. As part of a small tight knit team, you will provide preventative maintenance and breakdown support to the packhouse and wider facility.

What's on offer?

• Permanent position
• This position works across a sliding shift pattern over 6 days of the week, providing an opportunity to earn significant penalty rates across this roster pattern on top of the existing attractive hourly rates.
• $48.67 per hour base rate.

Your role

• Conduct preventative electrical maintenance on all plant and equipment
• Timely repair and installation of plant and equipment & assessing and prioritising breakdown service requirements.
• Ensures all checks are carried out and all paperwork is filled in correctly
• Ensure that all electrical work meets all company safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations
• Fault finding and diagnostic repairs of electronic equipment and machinery
• Assist the wider Maintenance team to identify and implement improvements to Maintenance work methods or procedures in order to improve machine availability

Consideration will be given to the following skills and attributes.

• Australian Electrical qualifications REQUIRED
• Must hold a valid electrical licence
• Previous experience in a food processing facility would be an advantage
• Minimum of 3-5 years industrial electrical experience required
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Be able to work unsupervised and complete tasks in an allotted time frame
• Ability to work early, day and late shifts.
• Experience with Refrigeration Systems
• Must currently be resident in Australia or New Zealand
• Valid work visa acceptable for employment
