Job Purpose:
Maintenance of facility and equipment, including preventive maintenance and urgent repair needs. Provides counsel to management regarding facility issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Responsible for budget, accounts payable, reports and required documentation.
•Responsible for Preventative Maintenance program and ensures compliance according to local, state and federal regulations. Maintains all facility equipment in a safe and functioning manner. Maintains furnishings and grounds, plumbing and electrical fixtures.
•Responds to requests for repairs as directed by General Manager.
•Responsible for fire safety. Conducts monthly fire drills in accordance with Life Safety and Federal regulations. Participates in general orientation on fire safety.
•Chair of Safety Committee. Responsible for safety on the grounds.
•Participates in Quality Improvement and Department Head meetings.
•Handles and/or supervises snow removal and landscaping.
•Has on-call responsibility to respond to off-hours facility emergencies.
•Applies “5 Star” customer service approach in all aspects of job.
•Actively supports Wingate’s commitment to providing “5 Star” service on all quality objectives, with an emphasis on continual improvement.
•Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
•Reports to the appropriate managers any known or suspected violations of policy and procedures, regulations or standards of conduct.
•Performs additional duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
•High School Diploma or equivalent required.
•Experience with general electrical and plumbing.
•Carpentry skills required.
•Must have knowledge of general maintenance and functions of all equipment.
•Must carry walkie talkie and respond to maintenance call.
•Must be able to write and read with clarity sufficient to follow instructions.
•Must read, know and follow personnel, department, and facility policies.
•Must know how to turn off main power supply, water supply, and/or gas supply to facility.
•Must be able to see small details, in equipment, machinery, etc.
•Must be knowledgeable of Exposure Control Plan for Bloodborne Pathogens and Fire & Disaster Plan, and follow policies and procedures.
