About the role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Coordinator – Electrical to join the operations and maintenance team at Mt Carlton Gold Mine in Central QLD.

The Maintenance Coordinator – Electrical is responsible for leading the execution of electrical maintenance activities as well as working with the planning team to develop scheduled maintenance plans. This role will play a key part in maintaining safety & reliability through engagement with onsite stakeholders and contractors.

This role will be offered on a Max Term Full Time Contract and will see you work a 8/6 Roster Day shift only. This role will be BIBO from the Townsville Region. Accommodation and Meals are supplied whilst on site.

Duties will include but not be limited to:-

  • Lead and provide technical support to electrical personnel within the processing plant
  • Hold the position of Person In Control of Electrical Works (PCEW) and ensure compliance with QLD mining legislation, Australian Standards, and site procedures
  • Maintain maintenance records and technical documentation in accordance with the site Electrical Safety Management Plan
  • Liase with the maintenance planners to develop weekly and shutdown maintenance plans

To be successful in this role, you will have:-

  • Trade qualification as an Electrician with a current Electrical Licence
  • Proven experience leading teams within a gold processing plant, mineral processing facility or heavy industrial environment
  • Experience maintaining fixed plant electrical systems including High and Low Voltage, MCCs, Switchboards, VSDs, PLC/SCADA and Instrumentation
  • Current Mining, Minerals and Quarries Medical – Desirable
  • HV Switching Certification – Desirable
  • Experience with CMMS systems (e.g., Pronto, SAP) - Desirable
  • Strong safety mindset with a commitment to following procedures and site standards.
  • Current Australian Drivers License – Essential
  • Right to Work in Australia – Essential
