Eyre Shellfish is committed to sustainable oyster production and continuous improvement in how we care for the environments in which we operate.

We’re looking for a practical, safety focused Maintenance Coordinator to maintain equipment and facilities across our sites and help keep operations running smoothly.

The role

You’ll undertake maintenance work and coordinate repairs and projects across Eyre Shellfish sites. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining a scheduled maintenance program for equipment and other assets to reduce downtime.
• Inspecting, testing, maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment, or arranging specialist support when needed.
• Coordinating external contractors and suppliers for routine maintenance and project work.
• Working with the Safety Manager to ensure maintenance activities meet relevant safety requirements.
• Assisting with hatchery or farm work when required.

About you

You may have experience in a maintenance coordination role, or practical maintenance experience and the skills to take on the coordination aspects of the position.

You’ll bring:

• The ability to carry out a range of maintenance tasks safely and use relevant tools, machinery and equipment.
• Sound problem solving skills and a practical approach to repairs.
• The ability to plan work and coordinate contractors and suppliers.
• Confidence reading safety information, equipment instructions and procedures, and writing routine reports.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• A current driver’s licence.

A forklift licence and other relevant licences, training or qualifications would be an advantage, but are not essential.
