Job Description

Reporting to: Maintenance Manager
Location: Mississauga, Ontario
Schedule: This role works an 11 hour shift (inclusive of 1 hour of unpaid breaks)
The big picture:
Have your career take off with us! At AirSprint, our core values of Safety, Integrity, Humility, Service, People, and Community are ingrained throughout our operations and culture. The Maintenance Coordinator plays a key operational role in maintaining the airworthiness, reliability, and availability of AirSprint's aircraft fleet. Working at the center of Maintenance Operations, you will coordinate maintenance activities across the fleet and collaborate with AMEs, flight crews, Flight Operations, Parts and Materials, and external maintenance providers. This dynamic role offers experienced AMEs the opportunity to expand their impact beyond individual aircraft, gaining exposure to fleet planning, aircraft reliability, AOG management, operational decision-making, and resource coordination while helping ensure the safety, reliability, and availability of AirSprint's fleet.
In this role you will
• Monitor aircraft maintenance requirements and effectively coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance with the goal of maximizing aircraft availability while considering fleet maintenance requirements and AME workload.
• Coordinate the troubleshooting and repair of aircraft defects, including recurring defects.
• Manage and coordinate Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events and other time-sensitive maintenance requirements.
• Manage aircraft Minimum Equipment List (MEL) requirements and associated maintenance activities.
• Provide technical and operational maintenance support to AMEs, pilots, and other departments.
• Ensure the parts, tooling, personnel, and other resources required to complete maintenance are available.
• Coordinate and oversee aircraft maintenance events to ensure work remains on schedule and required resources, materials, and support are available.
• Maintain effective communication between Maintenance, Flight Operations, flight crews, and other stakeholders regarding aircraft maintenance status and return-to-service expectations.
• Assist with the planning and coordination of scheduled third-party maintenance events.
• Identify developing maintenance or operational issues and escalate them appropriately.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to Maintenance Coordination, aircraft availability, and fleet reliability.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager with other operational and departmental requirements as needed.

On-call responsibilities
• As part of AirSprint's continuous operational support model, Maintenance Coordinators participate in a scheduled on-call rotation outside of regular shift hours.
• While on call, the coordinator may be required to respond to time-sensitive aircraft maintenance matters, provide technical or operational guidance, coordinate AOG or unscheduled maintenance events, and engage appropriate internal or external resources.
• On-call responsibilities are shared amongst the Maintenance Coordination team according to an established rotation. Overtime pay is available for time worked while responding to on-call requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will have
• A valid Transport Canada M2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license.
• A minimum of two years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance practices and applicable Transport Canada regulatory requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• The ability to effectively prioritize multiple operational requirements in a time-sensitive environment.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
• The ability to exercise sound technical and operational judgment with limited supervision.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a valid Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
• A Canadian passport or valid passport of another country with the appropriate documentation for travel to the United States.
• Valid G class driver’s license with a clean driver's abstract.

You'll fit right in if you
• Put safety and airworthiness at the center of your decisions.
• Remain calm and organized when operational priorities change.
• Take ownership of issues and follow them through to resolution.
• Communicate clearly and proactively.
• Enjoy solving technical and operational problems.
• Work collaboratively and build strong relationships across departments.
• Look for opportunities to improve processes rather than simply work around problems.
• Demonstrate AirSprint's core values of Safety, Service, People, Integrity, Humility, and Community.
