Collinsville Open Cut is located approximately 160km from Airlie Beach in Queensland, a town known as the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. Producing both metallurgical and thermal coal for the export market, the surface mine has a long life and is transitioning from a dragline strip to a truck and shovel terrace operation.
Reporting to the Crew Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance of Mobile and Field equipment in the open cut.
About You:
Understands the impact of availability and reliability on the outputs of the mine in a dynamic and changing environment
Previous background in supervisory/leading a field, workshop maintenance team highly desirable.
A trade qualification as an electrician, Diesel mechanic (Plant), Fitter Machinist or boilermaker or comparable field is essential.
Familiarisation and understanding of relevant legislation and experience in open cut mining operations.
Ability to work in a team environment and deliver effective communication.
Excellent problem-solving skills
Bring to the team fresh ideas and creative thinking to challenge the status quo
Leveraging off your previous experience, you will assist in offering your team coaching and support to drive high performance
About the Role:
You will be responsible for field, workshop and/or fixed-plant maintenance activities (majority field base).
You will play a proactive role in driving continuous improvement of maintenance performance
