Job Description

The Maintenance Coordination Engineer’s primary responsibility is to support hemisphere operations and technical personnel in the administration of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and maintenance processes.This role provides
support for the administrative aspects of the CMMS such as planning of major work scopes, oversight of KPIs and work order completion, liaising with the Regional Technical Superintendent, rig management and offshore personnel. In addition, the Maintenance Coordination Engineer will also conduct periodic audits of the CMMS to ensure compliance with the Borr Management System (BMS) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the administration of the CMMS to optimize maintenance administration by end users.
  • Assists rig maintenance departments with planning of major scopes of maintenance work liaising with OEM, Class, vendors etc. as necessary.
  • Liaises with the Regional Technical Superintendents to assist with CMMS management including oversight of work order completions, equipment out of operation, and implementation of Corporate standards and improvements.
  • Assists the Regional Technical Superintendents and rig maintenance crews with implementation of actions/corrective work orders in the CMMS as part of alerts, advisories and bulletins process.
  • Monitors and reports of maintenance KPIs.
  • Oversees supplementary maintenance systems from third parties, e.g. oil sample analysis, inspections.
  • Provides support with maintenance change request processing, and monitoring of status.
  • Audits the CMMS on a desktop basis to ensure compliance with company expectations.
  • Trains company personnel in the CMMS.
  • Supports Regional Technical Superintendents with auditing activities by second and third parties, e.g. client.
  • Supports troubleshooting CMMS issues for maintenance, including organizing required support from CMMS vendor and IT.
  • Drives continuous improvement of the CMMS.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Applicants must have the permanent right to work in Malaysia.
  • Relevant experience in a similar role within an Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or vocational qualification in a technical field desirable.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communications skills.
  • Working knowledge of equipment and systems on drilling rigs.
  • Working knowledge of maintenance management, preferably of drilling rigs.
  • Administration and/or End User of a CMMS; use of IFS Apps 10 or IFS Cloud are advantageous.
  • Awareness of Supply Chain management.
  • Ability to liaise with drilling rigs’ technical teams and rig management teams.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with external parties (client, OEM, vendors, regulators etc).
  • Possess strong personnel and administrative skills.
  • High levels of self-motivation with the ability to work under pressure and outside of normal working hours.
