Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Maintenance Control Supervisor (MQ-4 Triton) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located aboard Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD.

A Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP)-based Maintenance Controller; directs a team of technicians executing all aircraft modifications, change incorporations, inspections, and maintenance to meet the objectives of the Triton Integrated Test Team.

Briefs system status and configuration as necessary, supports daily status meetings covering all current and upcoming events, leads the daily maintenance meeting, processes/tracks all system material requirements, interfaces with customer leadership/ flight test team members/corporate contacts concerning Triton maintenance activities. This role will require up to 25% Domestic and OCONUS travel.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Interface with NGC and customer Flight Test Engineers, aircraft maintenance Technicians, US Navy service members, and Subsystem subject matter experts to sustain operations.
  • Primary interface between maintenance, design and flight test engineering.
  • Supervises operations during aircraft start-up/shut down for launch and recovery, conduct static ground tests, and troubleshooting.
  • Responsible for providing input to update Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMS).
  • Reviews/provides input during engineering development and executes Detailed Test Requirements, Acceptance Test Procedures, and Ground Test Plans.
  • Oversees a team of maintenance technicians performing maintenance in accordance with IETMS and/or other engineering directives (TDs/ECRs/TEIs/AMRs/MAFs).
  • Perform a variety of Organizational / Depot-level maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations.
  • Develop general knowledge of all aircraft systems, to include field integration, troubleshooting, and repair of air vehicle systems at the customer location including operations on a flightline, or in a hangar.
  • Able to perform/support review and analysis of engineering schematics, supplier design data, support of functional test requirements including acceptance, qualification, and system integration on the Air Vehicle.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree AND 8 years of related professional/military experience, OR a Master's degree AND 6 years of related professional/military experience, OR a Ph.D. AND 4 years of related professional/military experience.
  • Must have an active US Government clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
  • Must have the ability to obtain & maintain Us Government Top Secret Clearance
  • Experience with Aircraft Ground and Flight Test Operations.
  • Possess the capability and readiness to travel effectively supporting customer needs, management reviews, and demonstrating leadership as a technical expert on support trips worldwide.
  • Willingness and ability to support international, short-term or long-term, assignments.
  • Ability to pass a new hire physical if determined necessary by company standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent communications skills, including the ability to brief test requirements to senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current active in-scope Secret security clearance.
  • Previous Unmanned Air Vehicle system test or maintenance experience.
  • MQ-4C / Global Hawk maintenance experience.
  • Experience with aircraft systems testing and troubleshooting equipment. Previous Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity (OMMA) experience.
  • Previous Maintenance Control experience/ Safe for Flight authority.

Primary Level Salary Range: $106,800.00 - $160,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
