
Hamilton City and Waikato District Councils have formed a publicly owned, Council-controlled Organisation (CCO) to deliver water services across Hamilton city and Waikato district. The company is called IAWAI - Flowing Waters and will take over the provision of water services from 1 July 2026. This transition will occur in stages such as the current Watercare contract for Waikato District Council transferring to the CCO on 1 July 2026.

As our Maintenance Contracts Specialist, you'll play a key role in providing commercial and contract management expertise across the full contract lifecycle. From contract implementation through to performance monitoring and continuous improvement, you'll help ensure our contracts deliver great outcomes, risks are well managed, and value for money is achieved.
Working closely with our Maintenance Delivery, Operations and Process teams, suppliers, and a wide range of internal stakeholders, you'll be the trusted link between commercial objectives and operational success. You'll support effective contract governance, drive supplier performance, foster positive working relationships, and identify opportunities to improve service delivery and outcomes.
