This position is responsible for supporting contractual, operating and capital budget aspects for the Maintenance Department of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC). Responsibilities include conducting research and analysis for departmental operations and expenditures, maintaining departmental manuals, and supporting departmental programs/contracts. Work is primarily performed with independence and reviewed by a supervisor, or designee, for accuracy, attainment of program goals and overall performance.
Seven (7) years of experience in accounting, finance, contracts administration, highway maintenance program administration, or related area;
OR
Combination of experience in the areas listed above and field experience in highway maintenance;
OR
Three (3) of the years of experience listed above AND a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or other related field.
Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted.
Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must obtain and maintain a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license within six (6) months of employment.

Position demands include frequent speaking, writing and reading reports. Position requires frequent work at a computer utilizing business programs and PTC specific operating systems. Position may require some travel and/or fieldwork with exposure to roadway traffic. Occasionally works outside of normal business hours for assigned work assignments.
Office environment with low levels of noise, adequate lighting and comfortable temperature. Field environment may include exposure to moderately adverse and undesirable conditions. Physical environment is generally safe, but safety equipment or precautions must be followed in field conditions.
