Summary
The Maintenance Planner/Clerk supports maintenance operations by ensuring the availability of spare parts and materials needed for timely work execution. This role plays a key part in increasing plant productivity while maximizing equipment reliability and performance. The Maintenance Planner/Clerk also maintains accurate Paycom records, including employee timekeeping and vacation requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Support maintenance supervisors by helping prioritize work orders and ensuring required materials, parts, and supplies are ordered and available
- Create, assign, and track safety and food safety–related work orders
- Maintain familiarity with maintenance and equipment manuals; assist mechanics at all skill levels with locating manuals, ordering parts, and scheduling work
- Utilize the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), ManagerPlus, to manage work orders, parts, and maintenance data
- Submit purchase requests for stocked items to maintain established inventory levels
- Maintain accurate Paycom records, including missing punches and vacation requests
- Track employee attendance points and assist management with the attendance control program
- Respond to employee questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Communicate clearly with maintenance, operations, and leadership to support maintenance workflow processes
- Maintain organized records and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines

Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including experience with CMMS software (ManagerPlus preferred)
- Working knowledge of maintenance workflows, parts, and inventory management
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance and equipment manuals
- Ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, mechanics, and employees across departments
