Your Role

Georgia-Pacific is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Clerk for our Plywood facility in Taylorsville, MS. The successful candidate in this role would be responsible for providing administrative support, generating reports, performing data entry, and scheduling maintenance work orders for the maintenance team. These duties create value by assisting the maintenance department to increase uptime and reliability which results in helping the facility to meet operational excellence goals.

What You Will Do

  • Collect returned work orders and enter data (comments, parts used, labor, etc.).
  • Close out completed work orders.
  • Scan and attach completed precision maintenance forms to work orders.
  • Entering mobile equipment run hours and distributing attainment report for rolling stock inspections.
  • Generate basic care orders and follow up on order completions.
  • Reduce the admin duties of Maintenance Planner and Supervisors to allow increased craft utilization, through better scheduling and follow up.
  • Ensure smooth flow of paperwork to get data entered timely for tracking key indicators of our reliability program.
  • Provide overall support to the Maintenance Department.
  • Faster turnaround and accuracy on maintenance documents, AFAL, maintenance hours tracking, work order completion, etc.
  • Daily work schedule printing, stapling of Work orders, distribution.
  • Adding documents into MP2 for tracking, contractor PM’s (extinguisher, fire pump, etc.).
  • Adding parts information/spares to equipment in MP2, building BOM’s.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • A minimum of 6 months (cumulative) administrative clerical experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite - Microsoft Word (creating documents), Excel (creating spreadsheets and utilizing formulas), and Outlook (scheduling meetings and creating/sending/responding to email).
  • Basic office knowledge such as copying, scanning, faxing and phone systems.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • One (1) or more years of administrative clerical experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with MP2 or CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Experience utilizing systems to generate statistical reports and work orders.
