Job Description

Reports To:

Maintenance Supervisor

Performs specialized administrative, INFOR System clerical duties in support of the smooth and efficient operation of the Maintenance Department and may perform a variety of duties including the operation of the maintenance storeroom, parts identification and location using the INFOR System, support documentation, coordination with local vendors, work order systems, parts purchasing, tracking inventory levels, and other related duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Must know all Safety Requirements, Departmental and Plant Wide.
  • Must be able to maintain departmental 5-S for assigned areas and equipment.
  • Must be able to complete required departmental paper work. Have general knowledge of computer software and maintenance work order system.
  • Identifying, locating and issuing parts to maintenance technicians from the maintenance storeroom.
  • Coordinates with vendors and freight carriers in scheduling incoming parts, dies, and equipment and tracks shipments, and keeps manager informed of status.
  • Understand the work order process system and input the work orders into the INFOR System.
  • Identifies inventory items at point of issue that may require reordering based on system requirements.
  • Makes pick-ups of parts or material in company vehicle when necessary.
  • Using the Mapics purchasing system, input data and print purchase orders and match documentation and process to Procurement or Accounting.
  • Complete all month ending reports to identify downtime, cost, safety, and overtime, prepare graphs and post.
  • Tracks and updates departmental vacation and PTO usage.
  • Receive and identify incoming parts, place in the correct locations and track all documentation.
  • Inspects deliveries for shortages and damage and report any problems.
  • Understand and track EOQ and ROP when issuing parts and identify for possible replenishment.
  • Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures.

Education:

  • High School education or GED.

Experience:

Skills:

  • Ability to work independently in absence of supervision.
  • Ability to operate computers, related software and office machines.
  • Good organizational skills.

Others:

  • Ability to work any shift.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends with limited notice.
