As a Maintenance Attendant, you'll help keep UCCU's buildings, grounds, and workspaces safe, clean, attractive, and running smoothly. You'll handle minor and miscellaneous maintenance, repair, and upkeep across building systems, grounds, equipment, furniture, and janitorial needs—whether that's moving and assembling furniture, painting, making minor plumbing and lighting repairs, or performing minor carpentry and general building upkeep. When you spot a bigger repair or maintenance need, you'll report it to your supervisor so it can be addressed quickly.
Much of your work will focus on the spaces members and employees see every day. You'll perform detailed cleaning of drive-up areas, garbage enclosures, building entrances, and other exterior areas, and support grounds maintenance by weeding, trimming, sweeping sidewalks and gutters, picking up trash and litter, and making minor sprinkler repairs. During the winter season, you'll handle snow removal and ice melt application. As needed, you'll also support janitorial services with detailed interior cleaning and check that vacuuming, dusting, and window washing meet a high standard. You may also operate building systems equipment to maintain proper building function and assist outside service representatives in checking, maintaining, and repairing building components and equipment.
As part of the Facilities team, you'll share responsibility for ensuring that all Credit Union space, property, buildings, grounds, equipment, furnishings, utilities, and related systems are maintained, operated, and inspected in a professional and excellent manner. You'll work closely with teammates, staff, and vendors, keep your supervisor informed of area activities and any significant concerns, attend meetings as required, complete records and reports, and use basic computer programs to communicate and get the job done. You're also encouraged to share recommendations that help keep UCCU facilities safe, clean, attractive, and reliable.
Beyond your day-to-day responsibilities, you'll take on miscellaneous and specially requested tasks, help set up for events, and occasionally work after-hours assignments. You'll complete assigned training, follow established policies and procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.
You have a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of experience and training, a valid driver's license, and the ability to be bonded. Some experience in property or building maintenance or construction is preferred.
You bring a basic understanding of janitorial equipment and procedures, building and property maintenance, sprinkler irrigation, and minor building systems repair. You're comfortable operating a variety of hand and power tools and outdoor equipment, and you have the basic computer skills needed to communicate and complete required records.
You have strong mechanical and problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail. You're well organized and work well independently, yet you coordinate easily with others and communicate clearly. You take pride in professionally assisting members and staff whenever needed.

Success in this role means UCCU's buildings, equipment, and your assigned areas are consistently clean and well maintained. Preventative maintenance and repairs are completed according to established standards and procedures, and maintenance needs or problems are identified, resolved, or reported in a timely way.

Founded in 1955 by a BYU faculty member and six colleagues with just $5 each, UCCU began on a campus stair landing with its assets kept in a cast-iron tub. Seventy years later, Utah Community Credit Union has grown into one of the nation’s fastest-growing credit unions, serving more than 185,000 members with over $3 billion in assets and a clear vision to reach $10 billion by 2033.
What has remained constant is UCCU’s founding philosophy: people helping people. As a not-for-profit, member-owned institution, UCCU is committed to helping members improve their financial strength, achieve their goals, and love where they bank. Today, that mission is matched by a deliberate growth strategy, strong leadership, and a culture built on honesty, service, respect, fiscal responsibility, and investment in people.
For the right person, UCCU offers more than a place to work—it offers a chance to be part of something growing, purposeful, and deeply rooted in helping people thrive. Here, every role matters. Every contribution helps strengthen members, support communities, and shape the future of a trusted, member-owned institution. UCCU looks for people who want to grow as leaders in every part of life—from the boardroom to the family room, and from the bank to the backyard—while building something meaningful together.
