Rural King is seeking a Maintenance Associate to maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized store environment. This role supports routine cleaning, basic repairs, safety, and upkeep of the store and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Cleaning & Maintenance

• Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the store and surrounding areas by cleaning floors, restrooms, breakrooms, fixtures, displays, parking lots, and exterior areas; operating a floor scrubber; emptying trash; and restocking supplies.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs, including changing light bulbs, addressing minor plumbing issues, and repairing damaged fixtures.
• Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance needs, and malfunctioning equipment.

Store Support

• Assist with unloading trucks, stocking, zoning, and other store activities as needed.
• Provide friendly and professional support to customers and associates.
• Participate in cross-training and required learning opportunities.
• Demonstrate Rural King’s values of People First, Integrity, Attitude, Initiative, Teamwork, Accountability, and Continuous Improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull 30 pounds repetitively and 31–50 pounds intermittently.
• Ability to navigate and access all areas of the store and related facilities.
• Ability to perform cleaning, maintenance, and physical store-support tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and associates.
• Close vision required for computer-related activities.

Compensation

Exact compensation determined by factors such as geographic location, education, certifications, experience, job level, shift, and organizational needs. Eligible associates may also receive overtime pay in compliance with applicable laws.
