We are seeking a full-time Maintenance Associate to assist our team in Greenwich, CT. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Job Responsibilities:

• Processes floral product and put in appropriate containers for storage or display
• Maintains clean, organized, and safe public and work areas, including sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms and windows, emptying trash, and replacing light bulbs as needed.
• Organizes, rotate and clean floral cooler, including bleaching on a regular basis
• Stocks and organize shelves in work and storage areas; ensure vases and other hard goods are clean and in saleable condition
• Ensures cash wrap is always fully stocked with packaging supplies
• Unloads and unpack floral, plant and hard goods shipments from LIC and Boston Design Studios
• Develops a working understanding of Winston Flowers’ design styles and create specialty floral designs that meet established standards and aesthetics.
• Assists with preparing cash and carry mixed bouquets daily and supports the consistent maintenance and refreshment of product merchandising
• Applies proper flower fundamental handling techniques, while consistently meeting required standards of production and cost of goods
• Participates in daily set up and breakdown of shop including physical transportation of floral displays as needed
• Assists manager and staff with other special projects as business needs require
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Experience in floral, horticulture, retail, hospitality, or a similar hands-on customer service environment preferred.
• Experience handling and caring for fresh flowers or plants.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

• Peak business periods will require extended work days and work weeks
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
