What You'll Do As A Maintenance Assistant
The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Assistant is to ensure the proper upkeep of the Agency and/or facility by performing general maintenance and repairs to the building, grounds, and equipment. Additionally, the Maintenance Assistant may be required to handle janitorial duties as needed.
Perform routine building maintenance duties such as painting, minor carpentry, plumbing, minor electrical, HVAC, landscaping, etc.
Clean and maintain the interior/exterior of building or facility
Create, prioritize, manage, and complete work order requests
Receive and assemble merchandise, office furniture, wallboards, storage racks, etc.
Maintain and perform scheduled routine preventive maintenance on equipment and Agency vehicles
Perform partial maintenance after hours to prevent disruption of business activities or operation
Ensure the interior and exterior of the building and property is free of hazards
Respond to emergency calls after scheduled work hours as needed
Coordinate and assist with janitorial duties
Other duties and projects as assigned
