To assist in maintaining the smooth and efficient daily operation of all mechanical systems within the Plant, Salvage Outlet and Stores. This position reports to Director of Property Management, Facilities and Grounds who evaluates performance annually.

Essential Job Functions:
- Ensure the proper repair, maintenance, and safe operation of all mechanical equipment, promptly addressing any issues to minimize downtime.
- Perform routine cleaning and upkeep of major equipment to maintain efficiency, extend lifespan, and ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.
- Provide maintenance support and perform assigned tasks at any Goodwill location, as needed, to ensure consistent facility operations across all sites.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests or emergencies.
- Demonstrate a commitment to quality work, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections accurately as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of tools and materials.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner with minimal supervision.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and report issues.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
Required Education and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent, or the ability to obtain through The Excel Center.
- Hands-on experience in facility or equipment maintenance is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on mechanical equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and provide proof of insurance to travel to different job sites.
Qualifications:
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Flexible availability.
- Able to frequently bend, twist, reach above shoulder level, push and pull, crouch or stoop, kneel, repetitively use feet, and use head and neck in a twisting or static motion and to look up and/or down, and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
