Fern Lodge has an opportunity for a Maintenence Technician to join our team. This role is offered on a Part Time basis working 15 hours per week. The pro rata salary is £10,491
Fern Lodge is located in the historic Roman city of Chester, in Cheshire. Our home is set in a suburban area of the city, off a main road, and offers residential and nursing support for 17 males and females with mental health needs.
We can also support those who have:
- A dual diagnosis with a learning disability, with a primary mental health diagnosis
- Mild to moderate behaviour that may challenge
- Epilepsy
- Diabetes
- Nursing needs
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and hoarding
What you'll be doing
You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service and to support the wellbeing of our residents. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.

Maintain a well-decorated, safe and comfortable environment throughout the site, in line with quality standards, and follows work processes which comply with statutory regulations.
- Ensure that Priory minimum standards are delivered in all site areas in a timely and efficient manner, as part of a team.
- Undertake regular internal and external patrols of the unit and its grounds, ensuring that all the windows and doors are closed and locked as appropriate to the time of day.
- Carry out compliance testing (i.e. fire alarms, bed inspections, vehicle checks) as instructed by the Maintenance Manager

- Good tool proficiency
