Job Description

Main Purpose:

Carry out and oversee the maintenance schedule to guarantee the efficient operation of mechanical and electrical systems within the terminal. Lead all aspects of routine maintenance, installations, and repairs of equipment and power systems, while proactively identifying potential issues in collaboration with the Operations team. Perform detailed inspections, swiftly address any faults, and implement corrective actions. Conduct testing and maintenance to ensure efficient system performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge and understanding of occupational health and safety policies, always ensuring full compliance.
  • Identify and assess risks associated with job activities, consistently implementing prescribed preventive measures to effectively manage and mitigate those risks.
  • Carry out maintenance and repair work on site and in workshop on a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment for example PLCs, relays, motors, AC system, switchgears etc.
  • Tests accuracy of standard test equipment with master test equipment.
  • Perform routine inspection, checks and maintain equipment as assigned by supervisor during shut down and plant turnaround.
  • Observe preventive maintenance program of electrical equipment. Troubleshooting of equipment and control circuit.
  • Attend call out outside normal working hours.
  • Enure that work is carried out safely in accordance with company rules and regulations.
  • Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for planning and scheduling work orders. Schedules routine maintenance tasks using CMMS work orders for Terminal's jobs.
  • Manages Work Orders received from other department and distributes as per job.
  • Assigns cost center, work type and other details.
  • Check and test using equipment such as primary/secondary injection equipment and other test equipment.
  • Record all field data on prescribed format.
  • Observe all fire and safety rules and maintain worksite and repair shop in a clean, neat and tidy condition.
  • Carry out routine inspections, visit the plant regularly and report to supervisor any abnormality observed.
  • Frequent check with supervisor for work allocation and job discussion.
  • Undertake similar or related duties as advised by his supervisor/management.

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Diploma in Industrial Electrical Technician course or Completion of tertiary (6th Form).
  • 5-7 years’ experience in industrial electrical/electronic maintenance and repair work.
  • reading and writing proficiency / numeric skills required.
  • Strong communication skills in English are required, with Spanish being a valuable plus.
  • digital literacy (Microsoft Windows including Excel, Word and Outlook).
  • Demonstrate excellent manual dexterity for effective use of hand tools.
  • Possess the physical strength to lift and handle loads of up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to maintain high efficiency and performance, even in challenging weather conditions.
  • Comfortable with heights and able to safely climb tanks and vessels.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal direction.
  • Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Should be a great teammate and have the ability to work well under pressure.
