Assistant Facilities Manager *

The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for facilities & grounds maintenance, construction, general labor demands, and other maintenance related job duties in support of the Little Rock State Office.
Job Duties:
Building and facilities maintenance.
Assist the facility management department with minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc. repair.
Assist with construction projects with minor carpentry, painting, etc.
Assist the Landscape Specialist with grounds-keeping on an as needed basis.
Minimum Qualifications
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus one year of experience or training in the building construction trades, general building maintenance, or in the repair or maintenance of mechanical equipment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of basic carpentry, electrical systems, plumbing, painting, & heating & air conditioning. Knowledge of the operation, maintenance, & safety requirements of motorized vehicles & equipment. Ability to operate & perform routine maintenance & minor repairs on motorized vehicles & equipment. Ability to perform routine building & grounds maintenance work. Ability to use, operate, & maintain electrical tools & machinery.
