This position assists Campus Living Facilities with exterior maintenance, litter and trash for properties, rental home maintenance and repair, and other projects needed to keep the residential facilities owned by The Office of Campus Living at The University of Arkansas Little Rock.
Required Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or GED;
1-3 years of experience in grounds keeping and/or facility maintenance.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance assistance for preventive, routine, and special project maintenance with facilities owned by Campus Living;
Monitor daily exterior litter and trash for all facilities and coordinate removal;
Perform light grounds work at the residence halls to assist campus facilities with the overgrowth of shrubs;
Inspect the exterior sprinkler system for any breaks or issues;
Coordinate all grounds care for vacant rental properties to provide upkeep;
Provide assistance in renovations and repair cleanup for all properties;
Maintain all dumpster sites for repair and maintenance;
Assist with any moving of inventory and supplies for maintenance projects;
Provide vendor escorts, if needed, to the buildings;
Ensure excellent customer service to all UA Little Rock residents, students, faculty, staff, parents, and guests;
Ensures grounds are maintained and needed repairs are completed and fixed accordingly;
Provide after-hours and weekend response for student and facility-related emergencies as needed;
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
General groundskeeping and basic residential maintenance are preferred;
Ability to use a variety of lawn care tools and operate a standard mule vehicle;
Must be able to respond to Campus Living facility emergencies and crises after hours.
