Position Details:
- Title: Maintenance & Facilities Technician
- Schedule: 1st shift, 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday
- Location: Myerstown, PA (17067)
Job Summary:
Keystone Industries is seeking a skilled Maintenance & Facilities Technician to support our manufacturing operations and facility infrastructure. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and improving production equipment, facility systems, and supporting infrastructure within a regulated dental manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical professional with strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities and experience working with a variety of industrial systems, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, refrigeration, HVAC, and automated control systems. This individual will play a key role in maximizing equipment uptime, supporting continuous improvement efforts, and ensuring a safe and efficient manufacturing operation.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain and repair equipment in all areas of the plant.
- Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing machinery, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.
- Maintain and repair equipment as needed while ensuring products meet appropriate quality standards.
- Document and complete preventative equipment maintenance programs.
- Maintain safe working practices during all equipment maintenance functions.
- Perform tasks and projects as assigned by the Maintenance & Facility Manager.
- Assist in other areas within the Keystone facility as needed.
- Support facility systems and infrastructure to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the repair and maintenance of machinery in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial manufacturing machinery.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Skills:
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with the repair and maintenance of various manufacturing equipment.
- Experience working with one or more of the following:
- Mechanical systems
- Electrical systems
- Hydraulic systems
- Pneumatic systems
- Refrigeration equipment
- Controls and automation systems
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Education & Certifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- One or more course credits, certifications, or technical training in a maintenance-related discipline, including:
- Mechanical Systems
- Electrical Systems
- Hydraulics
- Pneumatics
- Refrigeration
- Controls/Automation
- Industrial Maintenance Technology
- Mechatronics
Safety:

- Performs required administrative functions related to Health, Safety, and Environmental functions such as completing forms, checklists, and log sheets.

- Physical Demands: Employee is required to walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; bend; kneel and climb. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs. from floor level to overhead position. Perform office tasks using simple hand grasping, fine hand manipulation and reach associated with assigned tasks such as paperwork, typing, and/or word processing (with computer), filing, calculating, and use of telephone. See, hear, and speak with sufficient capability to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper safety conditions.
- Work Environment: This job primarily operates in a manufacturing environment. However, this position requires one to work both in an office environment and a manufacturing facility. There is a moderate level of noise, heat, dust, dirt, and fumes. Employee frequently works near moving mechanical equipment and chemicals and will be exposed to varying temperatures.
