Role Responsibilities
Lead and execute preventive maintenance programs for mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Manage PLC and control systems for the factory and facility equipment.
Diagnose and resolve complex equipment and facility issues with minimal supervision.
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance equipment reliability and energy efficiency.
Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and projects.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Support capital projects and facility upgrades, including planning and execution.
Train and mentor junior technicians on best practices and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or technical field
2+ years of maintenance or facilities engineering experience in industrial, commercial, or facility environments
1+ years of experience with PLC, controls, mechanical, electrical, and/or HVAC systems
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
The ability to stand for extended periods of time along with routine lifting of items that typically weigh up to 50 pounds. Must have the ability to bend, stoop, stand, and squat.
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA 10 certification
Trade license (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing – depending on jurisdiction)
Completion of technical school or apprenticeship
Intermediate troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
Understanding of PLC basics and motor controls
Forklift, scissor lift, or aerial work platform certification
Lockout/Tagout trained
Physically capable of working in a fast-paced, stop-and-go manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task effectively.
Alert, dependable, and safety-focused.
Previous experience in manufacturing material handling or similar industrial environments.
Knowledge of parts and materials required for production operations.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational skills and ability to make quick decisions in support of a process-oriented operation.
