JOB POSTING
Position Title: Maintenance Aide
Department: Buildings & Areas
Classification: Full-Time, Year Round
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Duties
- Stock and clean on-mountain restrooms when necessary.
- Perform building maintenance under manager supervision including HVAC and appliance repair.
- Keep supervisor informed of arising problems.
- Take initiative in finding and solving everyday maintenance issues.
- Remove snow and ice from assigned areas.
- Remove and properly dispose of garbage.
- Operate heavy equipment when needed: forklifts, ATV’s, and snowmobiles
- Maintain exterior cleanliness of assigned buildings including sweeping, air cleaning and power washing
- Properly prepare surfaces prior to painting and does start to finish job of paints given substrates. Including but not limited to sanding (power and by hand), scraping, choosing the correct paint, and proper clean-up of work area.
- Maintain tool room inventory. Sharpening/cleaning tools when necessary.
- Assist in upkeep and inventories of lightbulb, paint, other similar stocked items.
- Change light bulbs and ballasts
- Perform plumbing repairs using mechanical and electric snakes and minor plumbing part replacement
- Assist Groundskeepers in early morning rounds and with subsequent rounds on heavy snow days.

- Minimum 18 years of age.

- Must be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
- Must be able to recognize projects that need attention.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong skier or snowboarder.
- Skill with most power and hand tools.
- High School Diploma.
- Applicable work experience given high consideration.
- Basic knowledge of Plumbing, Carpentry, HVAC, and Electrical systems valuable.
