What You’ll Be Doing:
The Maintenance Aide plays an essential role in creating a safe, well-maintained, and welcoming home for residents, families and visitors. Working within established health and safety, infection prevention, quality, and organizational standards, this position supports the daily operation of the community through general repair and maintenance activities.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance and repairs to building, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Inspect and maintain kitchen equipment, lighting, plumbing, HVAC, water softeners, and hot water systems.
• Complete painting, minor construction, and general repair work.
• Service roof exhausts, ventilation systems, and kitchen filters according to preventative maintenance schedules.
• Maintain safe building access by keeping entrances, sidewalks, and fire exits clear of snow and ice.
• Support grounds maintenance including grass cutting, weeding, snow removal, and general outdoor upkeep.
Who You Are:
• You have a High school education diploma or equivalent.
• You have experience in general maintenance and repairs.
• You have some experience in working around machinery, building trades and operations.
• You have effective verbal and written English communication skills required.
