Job Description

To provide cleaning services, indoor and outdoor maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Empty all trash and-transport to dumpster
  • Sweep all hard floors daily and mop as needed
  • Wash all glass including door and panes as needed- surfaces daily
  • Dust and/or wash tables and kitchen area as needed
  • Clean restroom fixtures, floors and partitions daily
  • Disinfect restroom floors daily
  • Replace paper supplies and deodorize the restrooms as needed.
  • Order janitorial supplies with the permission of the Corps Officers
  • Strip, wax and buff floors as needed
  • Vacuum carpets as needed with offices and lounge area daily
  • Set up rooms for programs as needed
  • Maintain lights - minor repairs, light bulb change, painting,
  • Remove snow as needed and salt as needed
  • Maintain vehicles as needed and instructed by the Corps Officers
  • Drive to do pick-ups as requested
  • Help with heavy lifting as needed
  • Police outside grounds for trash and keep the exterior clean
  • Maintain the lawn as needed

Qualifications

  • The ability to do heavy lifting
  • A valid NY State Driver's License and the ability to pass any required testing for the operation of a 12-passenger
  • Possess working knowledge of tools and building maintenance
  • Experience with prior building maintenance
