We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Designer with strong expertise across PL/I, JCL, DB2, SQL, and CICS. The ideal candidate will excel in designing high‑level and detailed application solutions, collaborating with global stakeholders, and contributing to critical initiatives within Capital Markets or Investment Banking domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Design High‑Level and Detailed Application Designs based on business requirements.
- Work closely with Application Owners, Business Analysts, Testers, Operations Teams, and other project stakeholders.
- Translate functional requirements into robust technical designs for mainframe applications.
- Support development teams with design clarifications and technical guidance.
- Ensure alignment with Agile delivery practices and global collaboration standards.
- Apply domain knowledge in Capital Markets / Investment Banking to solution design.
- Demonstrate strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Adapt quickly to new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
Essential Skills
- Strong knowledge of Mainframe Concepts PL/I, JCL, DB2, SQL, CICS.
- Proven experience in Application Design within development projects.
- Hands‑on experience creating HLDs and LLDs
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Strong analytical and conceptual understanding of complex systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a global, cross‑functional team
