Employment Type: Permanent - Part Time

Location: Colindale Campus

Compensation: £17,925 - £23,650 / year

This role is within our ESOL Colindale team, which is a very friendly and supportive team. Staff are well supported by their manager, as well as two dedicated course leaders and a highly experienced teaching and learning coach.

Please note, one post will be on a permanent basis (0.5 FTE) and the second post will be on a fixed term contract to provide maternity leave cover (0.5 FTE).

The successful applicant will deliver ESOL and Digital Skills classes, taking on the role of course tutor for adult and 16-18 ESOL groups.

You will have relevant teaching experience.

The role requires an approach to teaching and learning which is dynamic, inspiring and engaging, making use of a wide range of teaching strategies and techniques.

You will have strong team working, classroom facilitation and management skills.

You will have excellent organisational skills and will comply with College requirements including planning, assessing, maintaining accurate records and conducting education plan reviews.

About Barnet and Southgate College

Barnet and Southgate College is a further education college that works in partnership with local, regional and national employers to provide bespoke training specific to industry needs.

The College has a dedicated Enterprise and Employment team that works with a network of local employers and national companies to develop and provide training that meets their requirements and creates apprenticeship opportunities.

The College focuses on technology and business, offering a range of qualifications and professional development courses at specialised training centres.

Along with industry-led qualifications in business, childcare, health and social care and computing, the College also offers facilities to train in gas, plumbing and construction skills at the Colindale Campus; arts, new media, animation and VFX studios at the Barnet Campus, and sports, engineering and electrical installation workshops at the Southgate Campus.

The Southgate Campus is also home to our SEN Centre, which provides specialist courses for those with learning disabilities and/or difficulties.
