
Do you thrive on hands-on technical work, solving complex challenges, and working at height? Join Nordex's Main Component Exchange team and play a key role in some of the most critical operations performed on wind turbines across the Nordic region.
As a Main Component Exchange Technician, you'll be part of a specialist team responsible for replacing and upgrading major wind turbine components such as gearboxes, generators, and main bearings. You'll work on-site across the Nordics, ensuring exchanges are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
YOUR TASKS
Perform and support main component exchanges on wind turbines
Conduct lifting operations and ensure safe execution on-site
Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges during exchanges
Prepare, maintain, and improve specialized exchange tools and equipment
Contribute to the development of new procedures, tools, and best practices
Support planning, reporting, risk assessments, and continuous improvement activities
Promote a strong safety culture and deliver excellent quality standards
YOUR PROFILE
Mechanical, electrical or technical education
Several years of experience working on wind turbines
Hands-on experience with main component exchanges
Experience with lifting operations, mobile cranes, and specialist tooling
Knowledge of hydraulic and electric torque tools
Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards
Comfortable working at heights and in challenging outdoor environments
Good computer skills and experience using digital tools and software
A valid EU driver's license
Willingness to travel extensively and work on-site, including periods away from home

The starting salary for this position is 3,300–4,000 EUR per month, depending on previous experience and qualifications.
