Job Description

This position is a 1st shift full-time position paying $15.50/hr.

• The Mail Clerk is responsible for the organization, sorting, and delivery of all mail at the location.

  
  PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sort /deliver mail and packages daily
  • Learn inside and outside mail routes
  • Learn front desk reception duties
  • Learn Shipping/Receiving dock
  • Scan in UPS, FedEx, and any other deliveries throughout the day
  • Sort/Process all outgoing mail, Invoices and UPS packages daily for customer
  • Arrange for express delivery when needed
  • Work with customer on special projects that require special instructions
  • Keep accurate records of new employees and mailstops
  • Pick up and drop off at the Post Office sign for incoming certified mail as needed
  • Records Retention
  • Track mailroom supplies (e.g., stamps, envelopes, address labels)

Desired Skills

· High School Diploma/GED is required.

· Previous mailroom experience is required.

· Strong observational and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency

· Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, sit and perform physical tasks as needed.

· Ability to work flexible hours, potentially including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

· Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly to communicate with employees and/or other customers.

· Pushing/pulling/carrying and lifting may include up to 50 lbs.; stair climbing, walking and, at times, standing.

· Normal vision or corrected by use of glasses and/or contacts for normal reading and viewing abilities.

· General computer knowledge and able to adapt to software easily.
