OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a Mailroom Clerk for our corporate office, in Chicago, IL. The Mailroom Clerk is responsible for accurately and promptly receives, sorts, delivers, picks up and processes courier items, interoffice mail, and all classes of USPS mail. Coordinates, stages and transports bulk mail items. Receives, logs, delivers and tracks messenger items.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sorts mail for applicable building(s).
• Receives packages/envelopes from FedEx, UPS and Office Depot, sorts and delivers or sends out to correct jobsites.
• According to mail schedule at applicable location, delivers mail to employees at applicable buildings within specified timeframes.
• Stamps mail and prints FedEx labels.
• Delivers interoffice mail received at one location to another including late packages from FedEx or UPS, if needed.
• Researches and routes unidentified and generic mail.
• Collects final mail pickup at approximately 3:00 pm or other specified time.
• May also perform the following depending on location: Picks up/drops off mail at the Post Office, completes afternoon banking responsibilities, drives clients or Walsh employees; assists with stocking beverages for current/future meetings; assists with deliveries; and delivers documents to attorneys’/accountants’ offices.
• May perform miscellaneous task for Ownership or Executives at assigned location.
• Assists the Building Facilities Group as needed.
• Hourly Rate: $20 - $30/hour

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to lift 10-20 lbs. on occasion
