Examples of duties

This position supports the processing of computer generated mail using automated equipment to ensure accurate and timely distribution. The role involves machine operation, material handling and quality checks throughout the production process. As a Mail Production Operator, you will perform the following duties:

• Machine Setup: Program daily machine settings and prepare equipment for operation
• Equipment Operation: Run Bell and Howell inserting systems and monitor performance
• Material Loading: Load forms, inserts, envelopes, and card stock into assigned bins
• Quality Verification: Check completed mail pieces for accuracy and proper orientation
• Minor Repairs: Perform small adjustments to maintain efficient machine function
• Mail Transport: Move completed mail trays to designated processing areas

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as a Mail Production Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• One year of clerical experience; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
