GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The Mail Courier will be responsible for the secure and timely delivery of letters, packages, and documents to various destinations. This role requires excellent time management, a strong sense of responsibility, and a commitment to customer service. This role requires travel between all OIP locations, a clean driving record is required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Pick up and deliver mail and documents between offices
· Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule
· Maintain records of deliveries, including recipient signatures and delivery times as needed
· Handle sensitive or confidential materials with discretion
· Operate vehicles or personal transportation in accordance with traffic laws and safety regulations
· Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding route changes or delivery issues
· Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues promptly
· All other duties as assigned
Requirements
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
SKILLS/ABILITIES
Ability to lift and carry packages up to 25 lbs.
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in an office setting with some travel between offices. May be stressful at times due to multiple projects and priorities.
PHYSICIAL/MENTAL DEMANDS
Work requires stooping and bending to move files and supplies, mobility to complete errands, or sitting for extended periods of time.
Must possess visual and auditory acuity in order to communicate with physicians, co-workers, and other customer groups.
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
