Job Description

Greenville University is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to support the institution’s mailroom. This position plays a critical role in the sending, receiving, and notifying students and employees of letter and package mail as well as assisting with the distribution of office supplies, copying, binding, cutting, and laminating of materials for classes and organizations.

Job Duties

· Using notification software, receive all incoming mail and packages for employees and students.

· Sort mail and packages in to correct mailboxes, bins, and shelves in the mailroom.

· Forward or Return to Sender mail and packages for withdrawn/graduated students.

· Notify employees and students of outstanding mail and packages held in the mailroom.

· Weigh outgoing packages for correct postage.

· Meter outgoing mail as requested.

· Complete printing, binding, cutting, and laminating orders as requested.

· Track postage and printing completed to charge to department budgets.

· Manage University logoed paper/envelopes and office supplies available to offices working with the SOS team to reorder as needed.

· Courteously serve delivery drivers, employees, and students.

· Oversee a student worker.

· Manage the mailroom budget.

· Keep the mailroom tidy and organized.

Requirements

· High School Diploma

· Minimum two years of customer service experience. Supervisory experience preferred.

· Computer literate; proficient using Microsoft Suite (Outlook Email, Word, and Excel)

· Physical activity required including bending, reaching, lifting, and prolonged periods of sitting or standing

· May lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

· Demonstrate professional skill in written and oral communication.

· Be highly organized and detail-oriented.
