Mail Clerk

What is in it for you:
• Fixed Salary: Hourly rate of $22.
• 10-month contract.
• Full-time position: 40 hours per week.
• Work Schedule: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
• Future schedule may change to 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
• On-site work in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
• Receive, sort, prepare, scan, and index incoming mail and documents accurately.
• Process outgoing mail and courier shipments through the Fulfillment Center.
• Support the effective operation of Imaging and Fulfillment services for corporate locations.
• Maintain service levels and productivity standards established by business requirements.
• Handle troubleshooting mail requiring advanced knowledge and problem-solving skills.
• Process inbound bulk mail and maintain workflow statistics and reporting.
• Deliver quality customer service and operational support to internal business partners.
• Train and support new team members within the Imaging and Fulfillment Center.
• Cross-train and provide support across Statement, Imaging, and Fulfillment functions.
• Ensure proper handling of sensitive and confidential personally identifiable information (PII).
• Follow established operational procedures, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
• Assist with workflow prioritization in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
What you will need to succeed:
• College education preferred.
• 1 year of experience working with imaging and indexing systems.
• Previous experience in an office environment required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Ability to perform accurate data entry and manage document processing tasks.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn new processes quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
• Demonstrated reliability and a stable employment history.
• Experience with mail sorting, scanning, indexing, and document management processes preferred.
• Experience operating mailing equipment, folder inserters, and postage meters is an asset.
• Ability to stand for approximately 3 to 4 hours per shift and lift up to 20 pounds.
