Job Description

Mail Clerk

This position is on a federal Abilityone contract that requires that most of the work hours are performed by employees with disabilities. Due to program requirements, this particular position must be filled by a person with a disability

Provides mail distribution services as provided in the contract

Statement of Work

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Sort incoming mail for distribution

Dispatch outgoing mail

Sort mail according to destination and type, such as returned letters adjustments, bills, orders and payments.

Stamp outgoing mail either by hand or using postage meter.

Re-address undeliverable mail bearing incomplete or incorrect addresses

Must meet established standards of quality & productivity with/without supervision.

Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

HS/GED

Must have good customer service skills

Must have reliable transportation

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED

Computer, fax, stamp machine

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to sit, stand, push, and pull

Must be able to lift up to 35lbs
