Team Overview
The Fintech team drives growth across Mexico’s fintech ecosystem by partnering with digital financial institutions to deliver data, analytics, risk, identity, and decisioning solutions. The team collaborates with clients and cross-functional partners to accelerate business growth, strengthen customer outcomes, and expand TransUnion’s market presence.
Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commercial strategies that drive growth and increase TransUnion’s market presence within the fintech ecosystem in Mexico.
- Build and maintain relationships with founders, CEOs, executives, and key decision-makers across established and emerging fintech organizations.
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities while expanding existing client relationships through cross-selling and upselling initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to fintech clients by understanding their business objectives and recommending solutions across customer acquisition, portfolio growth, risk management, identity verification, fraud prevention, and collections.
- Develop a deep understanding of the Mexican fintech landscape, including market trends, emerging business models, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to identify strategic growth opportunities.
- Manage a portfolio of fintech accounts, ensuring achievement of revenue targets, client retention goals, and overall account growth objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Product, Strategy, Operations, Technology, and Client Success to align capabilities, improve client outcomes, and support successful solution delivery.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and issue resolution, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and service excellence.
- Conduct regular account reviews to identify new opportunities, expand product adoption, and strengthen long-term client relationships.
- Support revenue management processes, including forecasting, pipeline management, and commercial planning to ensure delivery against business objectives.
Required Knowledge and Experiences
- 3-5 years of experience in consultative B2B sales, business development, account management, or commercial roles, preferably within Fintech, Financial Services, Technology, SaaS, Data, Analytics, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of the Mexican fintech ecosystem, including digital lending, payments, embedded finance, financial inclusion, customer acquisition, credit lifecycle management, and risk management practices, to effectively advise clients and identify growth opportunities.
- Experience building and managing executive-level client relationships, with the ability to influence decision-makers and drive long-term commercial partnerships.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience demonstrating expertise in commercial strategy, client relationship management, and business development.
- Advanced English proficiency (B2-C1 required) to effectively communicate with regional and global stakeholders and participate in cross-functional business initiatives.
- Experience applying consultative sales methodologies to understand client challenges, develop business cases, and position complex solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
Required Technical Skills
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms for pipeline management, account planning, revenue forecasting, and opportunity tracking.
- Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, for business analysis, reporting, executive presentations, and proposal development.
- Sales pipeline and forecasting tools used to monitor commercial performance and support data-driven decision-making.
- Data analysis and business reporting tools to evaluate account performance, identify opportunities, and support strategic recommendations.
- Account planning and consultative selling frameworks used to manage complex sales opportunities and long-term client growth strategies.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
- Experience working directly with fintechs, digital lenders, neobanks, payment platforms, BNPL providers, or other technology-driven financial institutions.
- Knowledge of consumer banking, lending products, credit lifecycle management, financial inclusion, and customer acquisition strategies.
- Experience selling data, analytics, fraud prevention, identity, decisioning, or credit-related solutions.
- Strong negotiation, storytelling, and executive presentation skills that support engagement with founders, CEOs, and senior leadership teams.
- Experience working in highly collaborative, cross-functional environments that require close partnership across commercial, product, technology, and operations teams.
